About M+K Lawyers
M+K Lawyers are a rapidly growing law firm with a national footprint devoted to the mid-market. They are commercial lawyers with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane CBDs, as well as the business communities of Dandenong, Perth, Hobart and outback Queensland.
M+K’s business was growing rapidly with increasing staff numbers across all offices and an existing WAN environment, from a large carrier, that was coming up short for flexibility and resilience. Internally, IT resources needed to remain focused on application development and support while a trusted specialist was needed to design, deploy and manage new network infrastructure. With possible migrations of both production and DR environments to the cloud on the IT roadmap, a highly flexible solution that didn’t tie in to a specific carrier or cloud offering was needed.
After a lengthy evaluation period the M+K requirement evolved from only low bandwidth secondary connectivity to key sites, to a complete high availability design providing high bandwidth, dual carrier and dual technology connectivity to all offices.
Special attention was given to the existing hosted telephony environment which was retained and configured for seamless operability alongside the new network.
This new environment, inclusive of redundant routers and hosted firewall being completely monitored and managed by the VPN Solutions support team while working side-by-side with the M+K IT team has allowed the firm to continue to grow while remaining focused on its core business segment and services. Real-time monitoring of network status and performance means VPN Solutions engineers and the M+K staff working together as an integrated team.
What M+K say:
“As a proficient I.T Department, we consistently find it challenging to find capable and knowledgeable third party vendors that meet their deliverables with ease. VPN Solutions have bucked that trend for us. They have delivered high performance, reliable network services and expertise to help achieve our business objectives.”
